Use of the WiFi network for internet access by the SAIT community and visitors is subject the same terms of acceptable use as applies to library computers.
Particularly, users must respect the Information Services User Code AD.2.7.1, also available in the SAIT Policies and Procedures Manual (call number: REF 378.712338 S727P).
Unacceptable use includes, but is not limited to, such issues as: infringement of intellectual property rights, breach of network security and accessing offensive materials.
For assistance with setting up WiFi, see Connecting to WiFi.
Guest Wireless Accounts
Visitors to the SAIT Library, who do not have SAIT network credentials and need wireless internet access, can request a temporary username and password at the Information Desk. Typically, guest accounts are valid for up to 5 business days. Guest accounts can be renewed upon request.
If you are a member of an Eduroam campus, you may also access that network while at SAIT.
Users who do not abide by these policies will be asked to leave. Guest users may have their WiFi access revoked.
Library staff are the final arbiters of appropriate use of the library's wireless network. Questions or concerns about wireless use should be referred first to Library Information Desk staff. Follow-up, if necessary, should be referred to the Access Services Librarian or the Library Manager.
